My Podcast Project
Title: MY CITY
Main objective: Activate vocabulary and expressions related to descriptions of cities
Level: CEFR B2
Class type: adolescents
Activity focus: writing-speaking
Material: Computer with access to Internet / Headphones
Procedure:
1. Teacher tells students they will watch some videos designed by other sts in different parts of the world

They should take down notes on features any of these cities share with Rosario.
2. In pairs, sts should choose one area (a monument, a neighbourhood, etc) or aspect (nightlife, sports, etc) of Rosario they would like to comment on. They can find further ideas and info in these sites

They will create a podcast to advertise their city. Since this will be their first experience, they will write a script first, and they should choose a picture to illustrate their recording.
3. Students sign up to Podomatic.
4. Teacher shows participants how to record using Podomatic.
5. Teacher shows how to write a reply to a Podomatic audio.
6. Students record their contributions (max 3 minutes).
7. Students embed podcasts in the samp page of the class wiki.
8. Students write comments or questions in the wiki and/or Podomatic
9.To round off the project, a class discussion will be held for sts to comment on the experience and their classmates' work, where the teacher will also address some language issues that have cropped up.
